BEIJING, May 12 (Xinhua) -- British choreographer Matthew Bourne's dance drama "Swan Lake" will be staged six times from Sept. 5 -8 at the Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center.

Following the composition of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, his "Swan Lake" is best known for replacing females with males.

Bourne's award-winning version debuted in 1995 and has been frequently performed at London's West End and New York's Broadway. It met audiences in Shanghai in 2014.
