TEHRAN, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- Iran's national soccer team will play two friendly matches against Palestine and Qatar in Doha before heading to the United Arab Emirates for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, the Tehran Times daily reported on Thursday.

Carlos Queiroz's team is scheduled to play Palestine on Dec. 24 and meet Qatar a week later.

Iran started a training camp in Doha on Dec. 17.

Iran national soccer team have been drawn along with Iraq, Yemen and Vietnam in Group D of the AFC Asian Cup.

The 2019 AFC Asian Cup will be held in the United Arab Emirates from January 5 to February 1.
