BEIJING, April 12 (Xinhua) -- The Evergrande U-17 International Football Championship will be held from April 22 to May 1 in Guangzhou and Shenzhen.

Eight teams will take part in the tournament, including Inter, Valencia, Boca Juniors, Gremio, Esperance Sportive, Kashima Antlers, Guangzhou Evergrande and Hebei China Fortune.

As the tournament director, Marcello Lippi said he hope sthat the Evergrande U-17 international football championship will become the most outstanding international youth football tournament and a stage where youth players are able to showcase their skills.

The Evergrande U-17 international football championship contains five rounds and 20 matches, which means that each team will have five matches.

"This tournament fills a gap," said Shi Junping, Vice-President of the Evergrande Group. "We hope that the Evergrande U-17 International Football Championship will help Chinese youth football players grow and assist in the improvement of youth training."
