MANILA, March 18 (Xinhua) -- A fire broke out on Sunday morning at a hotel in Manila, capital of the Philippines, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Manila said.

A local radio report said at least four "unconscious" people were taken to a hospital.

The BFP said the fire started at about 9:30 a.m. local time and the blaze was destroying the Manila Pavilion Hotel and Casino along United Nations Avenue in Manila City.

Firefighters continue to put out the fire as of posting. The cause of the fire was still unknown.
