LISBON, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- The Gloria Funicular, one of Lisbon's landmarks linking Restauradores to Principe Real, derailed on Wednesday, leaving one dead and about 20 injured, according to local authorities.

Firefighters and Public Security Police are at the scene.

The funicular, with a capacity of up to 43 passengers, is a popular attraction among tourists visiting the Portuguese capital. ■
